[edit]This page has been moved five times in less than three weeks, but none of the four editors responsible has explained his reasons on this talk page.
It is true that there have been three princes named Alfred who have been head of this house, but that does not make this prince "Alfred III". Rather he was the third prince zu Windisch-Grätz (i.e. after the second prince and before the fourth). In German he is called "Alfred, 3. Fürst zu Windisch-Graetz", in English "Alfred, 3rd Prince zu (or of) Windisch-Graetz".
Both the Genealogisches Handbuch des Adels and the Almanach de Gotha (at least the 1925 edition) use the spelling "Windisch-Graetz".
I encourage other editors to do a little bit of research before moving pages, and to justify their moves by citing the evidence on the talk page.
I won't move the page until there has been time for some discussion. Noel S McFerran (talk) 02:24, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
